CoinJar Card is a prepaid debit Mastercard. You can only use the cryptocurrency already in your CoinJar account to make purchases.
When you use your CoinJar Card to make a purchase, crypto from your CoinJar account is instantly converted to AUD, loaded onto the card and used to complete the transaction.
CoinJar Card is a fully-featured Mastercard and can be used everywhere that Mastercard is accepted. You can even use it to withdraw cash at the ATM.
Money is automatically added to your CoinJar Card in the amount required whenever you make a purchase. All you need to do is ensure that there’s enough crypto to cover the transaction in your chosen card account.
You can apply for CoinJar Card using the CoinJar app – it only takes a minute. Simply tap the Card tab at the bottom of the screen, double check your personal details and click Confirm. Your CoinJar Card is active and ready to use.

CoinJar Card is free to activate and has no monthly fees. There’s a 1% fee to convert your crypto when you make a purchase, but this is returned to you in the form of CoinJar Rewards points.
You can use any cryptocurrency that you have in your CoinJar account. This includes all of the more than 50 cryptos offered by CoinJar, from Bitcoin to Ethereum, Ripple, SHIB and many more.
CoinJar Card purchases and cash withdrawals attract our usual 1% transaction fee, which is returned to you in the form of CoinJar Rewards points. CoinJar Rewards points can be used to cover transaction fees in the CoinJar app or else see what’s on offer at the CoinJar Rewards Store.
CoinJar Card has a maximum daily spending limit of $5000 or 25 transactions (whichever comes first). You can withdraw up to $1000 in cash across a maximum of 5 withdrawals.
In addition to the usual 1% transaction fee, there is also a 2.99% fee charged by Mastercard for any foreign transactions and a $27.50 fee for any transaction disputes.
