Cartesi is a multi-chain layer-2 scaling solution built on top of the Ethereum network.
By using what’s known as Optimistic roll-ups to power its smart contracts, Cartesi aims to reduce transaction fees while dramatically improving network performance. Cartesi also lets developers use mainstream coding languages and gives them access to larger file storage, enabling the creation of more complex dApps (decentralised apps).
The Cartesi Token (CTSI) is the primary utility token of the Cartesi network. CTSI is handed out in the form of staking rewards and is used to pay for network fees.
