You can set up a CoinJar account for your company, SMSF, or trust. Here are the steps you can follow to achieve this.
If you're interested in buying or managing crypto through a , CoinJar makes it possible to open an account under these entities. However, setting up an entity account involves different steps and documents compared to a personal account.
An entity account allows a business, trust, or SMSF to trade and manage cryptocurrency in the name of that entity, rather than an individual. Please note that some CoinJar features (like CoinJar Card) aren't available with entity accounts.
In Australia, CoinJar supports entity accounts for:
Companies
Trusts
To be eligible, your entity must be registered in Australia. You’ll also need:
A dedicated CoinJar account (with a unique email) for the company, trust, or SMSF.
For SMSFs: The SMSF Trust Deed (or an extract).
For Trusts: A certified copy or extract of the Trust Deed.
A separate individual and ID verified CoinJar account for each director or trustee.
Tip: CoinJar accepts digital copies of your documents during verification.
Whether you’re applying as a trust or SMSF, your Trust Deed (or extract) should include:
Title (front) page
Any schedules
Pages listing Settlors, Trustees, Beneficiaries, and Appointors (if applicable)
Execution pages (signed by Trustees/Beneficiaries)
Any amendments to the Deed (if relevant)
For trusts that are not SMSFs, the Trust Deed (or extract) must be certified.
The sign-up process is as follows:

If you’re listed as an associate (such as a director or trustee) you may be asked to complete personal identity verification. You’ll do this as an individual, even though you’re linked to an entity account.
